Halle Berry, the Academy Award-winning actress, has never been shy to talk about the topics and difficult conversations that may affect her career. Recently, she talks about one of the most stigmatized topics about which very few women can talk, that is, menopause. She has discussed the challenges and effects of this situation on her social and personal life.

Halle Berry Calls Out Stigma Around Menopause
Menopause has been considered taboo for years in Hollywood because of its glory, and not all people are well aware of the effects and types of this topic. Yet, Berry is a bold actress and she has spoken about her experience with menopause and also criticized the culture for being silent or spreading misinformation about the natural transition in women’s health.
On February 18, Berry appeared in an interview for the Today Show for her new company’s discussion, Respin Health. This company was building a community for women experiencing menopause. The 58-year-old says in the interview:
When women have access to a robust community of like-minded women, they automatically start to do better
In industries like Hollywood, where the youth is often idolized and people do not want to show their personal health issues, Berry refuses to stay silent and wants to discuss it openly so people may be educated about it.
The people’s attitude matters a lot, especially when glory and glamour are the main parts of the career, so the same situation was with Berry, but she says:
There’s nothing wrong with me; menopause isn’t a disease—it’s a natural stage of life. Women shouldn’t feel ashamed or unspoken for
Understanding the Menopause
Menopause is the situation in the woman’s life cycle between the ages of 45 and 55, indicating the end of a woman’s reproductive years. Usually, it has symptoms like mood swings, fatigue, sleep disturbance, and others and is often ignored by people or women who do not feel comfortable talking about it.
Berry does not want to be the one to feel shy to talk about it because misinformation or the lack of understanding about the situation is causing the weak support system in the women of her age.
Halle Berry’s Interview with Today Show
The interview with the Today Show was fixed to discuss the menopause, its transition, and awareness. She says people were stopping her to talk about the situation.
Sadly, people said to me, ‘Are you sure you want to talk about that? Do you want to align yourself with menopause? Do you worry how that will affect your career?’ And I said, ‘No.
It seems like Berry is confident about her life and age; therefore, she is willing to discuss it openly to end the taboo-like behavior.
And that’s exactly why I should be talking about it because there’s nothing wrong with me being in my mid-life. There’s nothing wrong with being 58, and you have to stop telling me there’s something wrong with me. And I’m going to prove to you that it’s not. And so women, we have to work together to destigmatize this time of life and change culture.
Why is Menopause Awareness Important?
Menopause is the reality of the 75 million women in the U.S., but people do not openly talk about it. More than 6000 women enter into this situation every day, and most of them do not know anything about it or ignore the symptoms. This unawareness leads to health issues, household criticism, and other such problems.
Raspin Health is a community-based digital platform, and Halle Berry is the representative; therefore, she appeared in the interview. The platform is backed by medical professionals, artificial intelligence experts, scientists, and women facing issues like the one we are discussing.
Artificial intelligence is helping people around the world deal with issues and situations that were not openly discussed before this. People take help from the chatbots, communicate with AI, get authentic information, and record their improvements with the help of these technologies. Weborik Hub has been witnessing customers integrating artificial intelligence through our services, managing tasks, and effectively presenting their services and awareness.
Halle Berry’s Role in Menopause Awareness
Through this interview, Barry has educated the people not only in America but also proved to be a role model for women around the globe. The aim was to make not only the women but the whole world take menopause easy and natural.
Women find when they start educating themselves that they can make decisions from a place of power, and then they feel empowered, and they don’t feel so hopeless during this half. It’s not time to sit down. It’s time to reinvent. It’s time to have a beautiful, glorious second act. We can still be our fabulous selves, but we have to learn how
