Over 7 Million Netflix Account Details are Leaked Online

Kaspersky, the internet has recently released a report that mentions that the database of 184 compromised passwords has been shared on the internet. Out of these, over 7 million passwords are for Netflix, so if you have not changed your account password in a while, you must do it as soon as possible.

According to the report, the leak is not due to the streaming service’s security breach, but other means are involved here, such as the spyware browser extensions that keep an eye on everything you type and then send your personal details to the scammer collecting the information and selling it online.

Another reason for such security issues may be the fake websites, known as phishing, that trick you into entering your personal account details and then share them with others. Kaspersky says that the Netflix platform is the most affected in this attack, but other websites like Prime Video, Disney+, HBO Max, Apple TV, and many more are also affected.
